According to recent data published by the UNHCR, Germany is home to the most refugees by far in Europe - 1.4 million in total.
Sports structures and support programs are well developed, but in relation to a large number of refugees - they are sometimes overloaded with task of integration and inclusion.
Anna Strugovshchikova, Coordinator of the " „Integration through Sport“ Program at DOSB:
"With regard to the function, working area and needs of the participants the training session will be of a very practical character. Different workshops, aiming to cumulate the expertise in launching intercultural dialogue and creating inclusive and accessible sport organizations.
The training session will help the multipliers to gather different practical tools for their daily work and equip them with some new ideas for the advisor work with their member organizations.
The special feature of the coming training session is, that participants will have a unique chance to go into a direct exchange with their counterparts from Sweden and Germany accordingly, reflect their work and learn from each other during the two coming days - in the framework of the workshops but also in a non-formal way during the personal talks. The session will deliver new contacts and promote common inclusive work across the boarders in a very sustainable and personal way."
