Flanders Sports Agency teamed up with Minor Ndako to hosts the first 2019 Aspire Sport training session.

 

The 4th session will be opened by Philippe Paquay of Sport Vlaanderen and the CEO of Kazerne Dossin, Christophe Busch

One of the key note speakers will be Raheleh Asemani  - Iranian-born taekwondo sport woman who chased her dream to participated at the Summer Olympics. Raheleh will share her inspirational story of becoming a political refugee in Belgium and being the first refugee athlete to qualify for Olympic taekwondo.

During the training session participants will focus on the  'Accessible sport organizations' and 'Considering the Personal Challenges of Refugees - Psychosocial Aspects of Inclusive Coaching' modules. This will be complemented by Minor Ndako presentation of "Practical examples of refugees and sport" (KBVB / Football Flanders, BX Brussels, Beerschot Athletics).  

 

At the beginning and end of the day all attendees will have the possibility of visit the Kazerne Dossin museum,  an unique place of commemoration - a Memorial, Museum and Documentation Centre of the persecution of Jews and gypsies in Belgium.
